Job Position: Warehouse Manager


Job Location: Stone Mountain, GA


Reports to: Plant Manager


Remote: ON SITE


JOB SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and workplace rules, policies and procedures. Maintains and leads warehouse staff in sustainable results by coaching, counseling, and mentoring team members; planning, monitoring, inventory control, and following OPERA Values.

Essential job functions:


Directly manages a workforce of approximately 20 to 30 team members engaged in warehouse including production line drivers. Communicates with corporate headquarters on warehouse, trailers, shipments, inventory, and other applicable warehouse activities. Managing the warehouse, scheduling, quality and procurement team members, includes: performance and attendance management, time management, overtime, team member development and policy compliance. Demonstrates as a leader WinCup OPERA values to the team. Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. Responsible for executing and managing the annual warehouse inventory process. Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning team members; following up on work results. Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training new team members. Manages the Quality Control department to meet product standards. Manages the Safety Quality and Food (SQF) program including the annual certification audit. Responsible for providing a safe work environment and participating in plant safety program including safety audits and safety initiatives. Complete various supply chain daily reports Conducts job, safety and other related PIT training with staff. Communicates and enforces company work rules, and policies including attendance. Enforces safety rules, housekeeping standards and employee work practices in accordance with company policies and OSHA/FDA regulations. Follow all GMP and sanitation guidelines. Performs annual performance evaluations of direct reports. Imitates corrective and coaching actions. Responsible for controlling and monitoring attendance and punctuality of the entire staff. Works closely with Safety & Quality team to ensure safety and quality guidelines are sustained. Supports all current and new product demands. Works with all other departmental areas to maintain productivity and plant initiatives. Partners with STM leadership to ensure team collaboration including training methods that leads plant and warehouse productivity. May participate in required audits. Adheres to food safety, HACCP, and SQF process requirements, sanitation guidelines rectify, and reports any all noncompliance to Plant Manager. Follows WinCup OPERA Values, company policy, procedures, GMP, and other related safety standards. Performs other duties as assigned.

Competencies:


Ability to follow directives from Plant Manager and WinCup Senior Leaders ensuring efficient warehouse operations. Ensures all company policies and procedures including manufacturing and safety policies and procedures are followed at all times. Collaboration with plant, safety, and leadership. Ability to complete mandated new manufacturing training on equipment to maximize output efficiencies. Ability to extract data, metrics, and reports. Ability to lead hourly warehouse team. Supports all current and new warehouse product introductions. Plans, executes, and directs inventory control.

Education and Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Five (5) to ten (10) years' experience in management. Preferred experience in manufacturing with emphasis in food and beverage, warehouse, or logistics Strong project management or technical experience. Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management System) Must be able to speak, read and write English in order to complete job specific paperwork. Ability to work independently and function as a team member. Ability to obtain a forklift or powered industrial truck certification. Ability to present training, safety and other applicable presentations. Good planning and organizing skills. Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Excellent oral and written communication, conflict resolution, and problem solving skills. Preplanning, analytical, and developmental skills a plus.

Note that office positions located within our Manufacturing Plants often require some plant floor presence throughout the day so these work environment details may not always apply, they should still be noted.In-doors in a manufacturing and/or environment that is not air-conditioned.

Exposure to extreme heat.

Wear PPE while working which includes hairnet, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards.

May work 8 hour shift or 12 hour shift that begins at 6:50 a.m. for dayshift or a nightshift that begins 6:50 p.m.

Required to work weekdays, weekends and occasional overtime as needed.

Subject to on-call activity to ensure warehouse functionality.

Work early morning, late evenings and weekends required during peak season, inventory, or other applicable coverage.


Physical Demands:


The characteristics listed below are representative of the physical demands required by an individual to successfully perform the essential duties of a position in our manufacturing plants.

Note that office positions located within our Manufacturing Plants often require some plant floor presence throughout the day so that while these demands may not always apply, they should still be noted.
Work 8 or 12-hour shift while standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, grasping and lifting throughout the entire shift.

Requires the manual movement of cases of finished goods and other objects such as bagger film that weight up to 40 pounds.
