JOB SUMMARY:




The Load Puller is responsible for moving finished goods from production lines to the warehouse or loading into a staged trailer and ensure that production lines are continuously supplied with necessary materials. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of production and ensuring efficiency within the manufacturing process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



Material Handling and Logistics:



Pull full skids of finished goods from packing lines to the warehouse. Help store finished goods in the proper location within the warehouse. Deliver materials staged by receivers to production areas in a timely fashion. Provide pallets for the production lines. Run and load scrap pallets to designated areas. Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to transport goods. Loads goods into a staged trailer and completes the full trailer load list.

Inventory Management:



Monitor inventory levels of materials needed for production lines and report shortages to the supervisor. Maintain accurate records of materials moved and inventory levels.

Support Production Lines:



Ensure that materials are delivered to production lines promptly to avoid interruptions. Coordinate with production supervisors to understand material needs and schedules. Assist in organizing and staging materials for easy access by production line workers.

Warehouse Coordination:



Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure finished goods are properly stored and organized. Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks as needed. Participate in regular inventory counts and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Safety and Compliance:



Conduct daily inspections of powered equipment being used. Follow all safety rules and policies and immediately report unsafe conditions to the supervisor. Participate in the 7-S Program and assist in achieving departmental goals. Report all non-standard conditions to the supervisor. Participate in all required training sessions. Maintain the warehouse in a neat and orderly condition.

Collaboration:



Work closely with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and resolve any issues. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding any issues encountered

Work Environment:



Exposure to a noisy and busy manufacturing environment. Use of PPE, including safety glasses/goggles, gloves, and steel-toed boots, is mandatory. Working in a fast-paced setting to meet production deadlines.

Additional Responsibilities:



Engage in all required training programs to enhance skills and knowledge. Perform other assigned duties as necessary to support team goals and operations.

Requirements:



JOB QUALIFICATIONS:



High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Ability to lift and move heavy materials. Knowledge of inventory management practices is a plus. * Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
