Purpose:
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, coordinating and directing warehouse staff, and ensuring the accurate, safe, and timely receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products. This role serves as the primary on-floor leader, supporting productivity, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and operational standards while acting as a liaison between warehouse staff and management.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
Ensure inventory is properly stored, labeled, rotated, and tracked in accordance with company procedures.
Perform and oversee cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.
Conduct safety briefings and address unsafe conditions immediately.
Operate warehouse equipment as needed, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanning systems.
Assist in maintaining warehouse organization, cleanliness, and layout efficiency.
Communicate operational issues, staffing needs, and workflow challenges to warehouse management.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to efficiency, accuracy, and cost control.
Maintain accuracy when conducting selection of stock for distributors.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Working knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory control practices.
Ability to lead, motivate, and hold team members accountable in a hands-on environment.
Strong understanding of workplace safety principles and OSHA compliance.
Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, and basic computer applications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing operational demands.
Problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in real time.
Physical ability to perform warehouse duties, including lifting, standing, and operating equipment.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
2-4 years of warehouse or distribution experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity preferred.
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within a defined timeframe.
Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Work Environment
Work will be conducted in the warehouse located in Boise, ID.
Work hours will be 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday through Friday, although depending on unforeseen factors it may be necessary at times for an earlier arrival or a later departure from work.

Physical Requirements
Ability to see well enough to read standard text with or without corrective lenses.
Ability to hear, with or without hearing support devices, well enough to converse on the telephone.
Ability to speak well enough to converse verbally with others, especially on the telephone.
Sufficient manual dexterity to write and operate office machines.
Ability to stand, climb stairs, drive, and perform up to 50 lbs. of lifting.
