Job Description

Overview


The Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the procurement and distribution of the organization's equipment, supplies, and services. Developing quotes to support all divisions of the business including timely and accurate responses to quote requests, evaluation of equipment specifications, and processing of quotes. In addition the Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator will need to be able to communicate and coordinate with staff from all company departments and vendors.

Duties include, but are not limited to:



1. Maintain and update inventory levels of all materials, supplies and equipment in the warehouse and company vehicles

2. Ensure that requisitioned materials, supplies and equipment are pulled in a timely manner and ready for distribution to Service, Contract and Fire Sprinkler jobs/staff

3. Cycle count materials, supplies and equipment in the warehouse

4. Maintains and coordinates vehicle cycle counting including scheduling, organizing, requisitioning and making trucks whole during their cycle counts

5. Maintain an organized, orderly and clean warehouse environment

6. Provide material, supply and equipment delivery to job sites as needed

7. Understands and observes all safety procedures and policies for the warehouse and material handling operations to ensure a safe working environment and the safe transport of materials, supplies and equipment.

8. Prepares and coordinates Department purchasing, returning, and receiving, including special order items

9. Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from the requisitioning department.

10. Coordinating parts ordered/received for the Departments of the organization to ensure follow up scheduling with customers

11. Communication with field employees as needed for parts ordering/scheduling deliveries

12. Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.

13. Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

14. Negotiates best pricing from vendors through using interpersonal skills and prior analysis.

15. Works with cross-functional teams to ensure continuity and streamlined processes related to material handling, inventory control, and valid documentation

16. Prepares reports and documents as necessary in a regular and timely manner

17. Collaborate with Divisional Vice President(s), field teams, vendors, and manufacturers throughout bid/quoting process.

18. Assists on matters of purchasing and inventory related inquiries

19. Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements



Minimum of High School Diploma

Knowledge of FIRE SPRINKLER materials, fixtures and components is strongly preferred

Possess valid Florida Driver's License with a clean DMV record in accordance with company policy

Additional Skills



Basic computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)

Good customer service verbal and written communication skills

Able to manage multiple priorities efficiently

Detail oriented with good follow-thru skills

Constant standing/walking up to 8 to 12 hours a day Frequent walking throughout warehouses, condos, personal homes, new construction sites, and uneven grass and dirt terrain. Frequently moves fire sprinkler components to next location usually from truck to warehouse, warehouse to truck, or truck to jobsite. Frequent reaching/pushing/pulling away from body Frequently carrying up to 90 lbs. Occasional TEAM Lifting to 150 lbs. Occasional overhead reaching Frequent repetitive hand/foot/head/neck movements required
Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
