Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Intern to support our distribution operations. This internship provides hands-on experience in warehouse management, materials handling, and equipment operation within a dynamic logistics environment. The ideal candidate will gain valuable skills in order picking, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation while contributing to the efficiency of our warehouse processes.

Duties

Assist with order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems Load and unload shipments utilizing pallet jacks, clamp trucks, forklifts, and cranes Participate in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control with the necessary data entry. Support materials handling tasks including heavy lifting and proper storage of goods Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment Help with inventory counts and cycle counting procedures Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve workflow efficiency Follow safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling Assist in the training of new team members on warehouse procedures and safety measures Implementation of a new inventory management system to efficiently generate inventory reports.

Experience

Previous warehouse or distribution experience is preferred but not required; relevant experience in inventory or mechanical knowledge is a plus Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of materials handling techniques Warehouse supervisor experience or exposure to warehouse management practices is a plus

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
