Holidays are considered regular workdays for this position.

Position Summary:

SGC Foodservice is seeking a dependable and hardworking

Warehouse Dock Helper

to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for unloading trucks using pallet jacks and hand-stacking boxes, bags, and various other items. The work environment includes temperature ranges from -5F to ambient, and requires frequent lifting of items weighing 4060 lbs.



This is a physically demanding position that requires attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

No previous experience is required

Key Responsibilities:

Unload trucks using pallet jacks and by hand-stacking items Handle continuous lifting of 4060 lbs., with some lifting up to 100 lbs. Work in a variety of temperatures (-5F to ambient) Maintain attention to detail and accurate order handling Adhere to strict attendance and punctuality requirements Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to work in temperatures ranging from -20F to 100F Strong oral communication skills and basic math skills Ability to read, write, and follow instructions Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision Physical ability to perform labor-intensive work for extended periods Ability to operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, high lifts, man-ups, chargers, and shrink wrappers

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift heavy objects Must frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs., and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

Conditions of Employment:

Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and substance abuse screening Must consistently meet job requirements throughout employment
