Shift : 1:00pm-6:45pm/Monday-Friday Pay Rate : $19.75/hour Pay: $19.75/Hour Current Associates are not eligible for Retention or Sign On Bonuses. Staples is business to business. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing: As a Warehouse Bulk Associate, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turret or electric pallet jack to move product within the warehouse. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be organizing orders to be picked efficiently, selecting orders by pulling, stacking and labeling merchandise and bringing it to the staging area all while maintaining the highest level of safety. In addition, you will stack empty pallets and clean and sweep work area and remove trash as you go to maintain a clean workspace. Safety is our utmost priority so, in this role, we will look to you to ensure safe work practices and embrace our safety culture. You will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we deliver to our customers.
What you bring to the table:
- An ability to be MHEO certified and safely operate necessary material handling equipment
- An ability and willingness to keep work area clean
- An inclusive approach with your colleagues and customers to forge strong relationships and foster collaboration to resolve issues
- An ability to adopt our safety procedures quickly and ensure safe work practices
- An ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations
- Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience
- Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally
- Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications)
- Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment
- If you are hired as a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business need
- Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed
- An ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand
- You must be at least 18 years old
What\xe2\x80\x99s needed- Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
- Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack or cherry picker
