What you'll do

Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and cranes to load and unload materials efficiently. Manage inventory control through accurate tracking and documentation using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners. Execute shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. Perform picking and packing duties, preparing items for shipment while adhering to safety protocols set by OSHA. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper mechanical functionality and safety compliance. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize stocking processes and maintain an organized workspace. Assist in materials handling, including heavy lifting and the use of pallet jacks for efficient movement of goods. Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills in order fulfillment, packaging, and warehouse distribution.

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse setting is essential, with a strong understanding of inventory management practices. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and order pickers; certification is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 is advantageous for efficient operations. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues is a plus. Strong attention to detail with proven ability to perform tasks accurately under pressure. Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team-oriented environment. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
