Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our distribution center team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in inventory management, order fulfillment, and materials handling. This position offers opportunities to work with heavy equipment and advanced warehouse management systems, contributing to efficient warehouse operations and ensuring timely delivery of products. Prior warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued for this role.

Duties

Manage inventory control using warehouse management systems and RF scanners to ensure accurate stock levels. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers in compliance with OSHA standards. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading shipments efficiently. Perform order picking, packing, and fulfillment tasks to meet customer requirements. Stock shelves and organize materials for easy access and safety. Conduct materials handling tasks, including heavy lifting and mechanical operations related to manufacturing or construction supplies. Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Support warehouse supervision by adhering to operational procedures and assisting with warehouse management system updates.

Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or manufacturing environments. Proficiency with inventory management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms. Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers--certification preferred but not required. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus. Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards (OSHA) and materials handling best practices. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and standing for extended periods. Experience with shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, stock management, and inventory control processes. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for efficient operations. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
