The successful candidate will operate material-handling equipment, optimize loading processes to ensure efficient logistics, and assist in other warehouse operations to maintain smooth business performance.
This position requires the safe operation of forklifts and the physical handling of materials weighing up to 50 lbs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and productivity. Flexibility with work schedules, days, and shift assignments is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prioritize safety in all warehouse operations.
Maintain production and inventory records using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, scanners, or manual entries.
Transport materials to production lines while accurately tracking movement in the ERP system.
Prepare and maintain documentation for contracts, shipments, and compliance requirements.
Package, label, and stock products and supplies as needed.
Load and unload materials manually or using powered equipment.
Read and follow work orders to determine material or setup requirements.
Inspect materials and shipments for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
Record and verify shipping and receiving information to ensure accuracy.
Attach identification labels to products, containers, or shipments.
Adhere to FIFO and FEFO inventory practices when handling raw materials and finished goods.
Conduct inventory counts, reconcile results, and report findings to warehouse management.
Operate forklifts and other loading equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform routine service and maintenance on forklifts and related equipment.
Assist with receiving, picking, packing, and staging materials for shipment.
Resolve receiving or shipping issues in coordination with supervisors.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
Follow company policies, procedures, and continuous improvement objectives.
Identify and report potential safety hazards immediately.
Consolidate pallets and organize materials to optimize storage and space utilization.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of
2 years of experience operating powered forklifts
safely and efficiently.
At least
1 year of warehouse experience
involving receiving, material handling, or ERP systems preferred.
Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
Knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory systems, and material-handling practices.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
Ability to lift up to
50 lbs.
