Warehouse Associate

American Industrial Supply is seeking a highly motivated and responsible Warehouse Associate who is organized, timely, and dependable. We are a trusted supplier of industrial pipe, valves, and fittings throughout the northeast, and we're looking for someone ready to contribute to our warehouse operations with professionalism and care.

Summary

This role involves packing customer orders, organizing incoming materials, and maintaining a clean, efficient warehouse and pipe yard. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative and reliability, with the opportunity to take on added responsibilities over time.

Duties and Responsibilities

Accurately bag and box orders according to company standards and customer requests. Pull orders and ensure materials are stored in the correct bins. Count stock and place items in proper shelves, bins, or racks. Maintain cleanliness by disposing of cardboard, sweeping floors, and keeping bins organized. Track shortages and communicate with Inside Sales and Purchasing Manager. Support team efficiency and contribute ideas for improving warehouse processes.

Qualifications

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentages. Comfortable using basic computer functions. Dependable work ethic and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.

Physical Demands

Regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance. Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching during shifts. Use of hands and arms for handling materials and equipment. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse tools (training provided). Work indoors and outdoors with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
