Pay Range: $16.50





JOB SUMMARY



This position is responsible for receiving, storing, handling, sorting, loading and unloading materials and performing various warehouse activities.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


Receive and process donated goods from public Offer and issue receipts to customers for donations in a professional and friendly manner Perform material handling duties Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers at assigned locations Bale, weigh, record and store salvage materials Responsible for inventory of gaylords and pallets Sort materials into proper containers ensuring each is labeled Pull recyclable materials from salvaged Outlet bins Identify end of life computers from those which can be refurbished Make decisions on product quality and assist in pricing items accordingly Inspect, hang, sort and tag clothing and donations in accordance with Goodwill Retail Operations Policy Assist in processing, pricing and distribution of hard lines Separate and band salvage shoes Assist with new goods inventory Ensure a steady flow of donated goods, supplies, and salvage carts are distributed to the retail stores Operate all equipment in a safe manner Assist with keeping the trucks, trailers, dock and warehouse orderly and safe Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants Performs other duties as assigned



INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT & INTERPERSONAL SKILLS


Personally participate in ongoing cross training opportunities, education and development as well as supporting others in their efforts to develop. Excellent working relationship with supervisor and co-workers. Must provide excellent customer service to retail stores, donors and vendors. Must be a positive role model for co-workers, programs participants and customers.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE


High school diploma or GED preferred Previous warehouse experience preferred


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


Forklift certification preferred



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES


Must be able to follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe and clean work environment






PHYSICAL DEMANDS



Heavy



Lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds



WORK ENVIRONMENT



High



Frequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise fumes, dust, etc.)
