Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks related to inventory management, shipping and receiving, and overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse environments and possess skills in operating heavy equipment, including forklifts.

Responsibilities

Unloads inbound shipments, checks inbound materials in, receives material into the prelude system, labels, and puts away materials with a barcode scanner. Identifies small parcel, full truckload, less than truckload, heavyweight air, and will-call/customer pickup orders and routes them to the appropriate shipping area. Processes packages via the small parcel shipping terminal Sets pickup appointments, loads orders, obtains signatures, and confirms will-call orders. Loads small parcel and truck shipments. Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information as required by the Company. Display a strong work ethic and honesty and adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures. Engage in work with a high sense of urgency and be highly organized and detail-oriented. Displays Talley's Mission, Shared Principles, and the Big Goal in all employee interactions. Additional job duties and responsibilities may be added at any time, as business needs may dictate.

Knowledge, Skill, Education, and Experience Required:

Previous warehouse experience is required. Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job. Strong mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and maintenance. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety guidelines. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills within the warehouse setting.
