Responsibilities



Manage inventory control by accurately tracking stock levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners. Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, move, and organize materials safely and efficiently. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by preparing shipments, verifying orders, and ensuring proper documentation. Perform stock stocking, picking & packing orders, and order fulfillment activities to meet customer demands promptly. Conduct materials handling tasks including heavy lifting, load & unload operations, and mechanical maintenance as needed. Maintain safety compliance by adhering to OSHA standards and practicing safe operating procedures for all equipment including crane and forklift operation. Support manufacturing or construction-related activities when required by assisting with packaging or material transport. Utilize AS400 systems and other warehouse management tools to streamline operations and improve accuracy. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize distribution processes and improve overall warehouse efficiency. Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are processed accurately while maintaining high standards of quality control. Keep detailed records of inventory movements, shipment logs, incident reports, and shift documentation for accountability.

Skills



Extensive experience with inventory management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and AS400 platforms. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, order pickers, and other mechanical tools. Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, stocking, and load & unload procedures. Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing basic maintenance on machinery. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in inventory control tasks. Prior experience in warehouse supervision or management is a plus for leadership roles. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members across various departments. Knowledge of manufacturing or construction environments is advantageous but not required. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
