as a Warehouse Associate.
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling, storage, and distribution of heavy-duty truck parts and related inventory. This position involves receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping parts, as well as maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment. The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and adherence to company safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving & Inspection:
Unload incoming shipments of heavy-duty truck parts and verify contents against purchase orders or invoices.
Inspect parts for damage, accuracy, and quality before storage.
Inventory Management:
Accurately label, organize, and store products in designated warehouse locations.
Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
Order Fulfillment:
Pick, pack, and prepare customer and internal orders for shipment.
Ensure correct parts, quantities, and documentation are included in each order.
Shipping & Delivery Preparation:
Package products securely for transport and prepare shipping labels and paperwork.
Coordinate with carriers or drivers for timely pickups and deliveries.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
Follow all safety procedures and report any equipment issues immediately.
Warehouse Maintenance:
Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Dispose of waste materials and assist in maintaining a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
1-2 years of warehouse or distribution experience preferred, experience with heavy-duty truck parts a plus.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one).
Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Team player with good communication and time management abilities.
Working Conditions:
Warehouse environment with variable temperatures (hot/cold).
Standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
