Job Description

The warehouse associate position will provide daily support to the warehouse operations department participating in order selection, receiving incoming freight, loading & unloading freight vans and company vehicles. Daily cleaning assignments, inventory counts, with safe forklift & motorized jack operation. Provide quality and friendly service to agencies and vendors by following organizational standards. Upholding a predetermined quality-controlled standard of orders leaving the warehouse all while upholding safe practices in the workplace. The Warehouse Associate reports directly to the Warehouse Manager for assignments.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES - operations

Ensure quality control of inventory storage or movements in the areas of, dry, chill, and freeze.

Pull order selections of, dry, chill and freeze products.

Assist at the agency desk when needed.

Ensure excellent customer service to agencies.

Be prompt, friendly, welcoming and courteous always.

Assist drivers with loading & unloading of new incoming or outgoing product.

Assist with inventory controls, including cycle counts, rack tagging.

Daily cleaning of warehouse, shopping areas including cooler and freezer.

Assist in maintaining excellent food warehouse sanitation standards, dry, chill, freeze, sorting room & bathrooms.

Assist with major Food Bank events.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED

Friendly, outgoing, dependable, consistent team player willing to help wherever they are needed.

Good communication skills, both written and oral.

Good interpersonal and public relations skills.

Good basic math skills.

Valid Alaska Driver's license.

Basic computer experience in MS applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy warehouse environment with heavy foot traffic.

Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, hold and manipulate cans and boxes and bags not to exceed 50 lbs.
