Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned):

Reports to the assigned Warehouse Lead, which may vary based on business needs.
Shall follow all safety policies and procedures.
Perform forklift maintenance check and complete the required inspection form daily.

Job Duties

Shall not pose a threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace. Shall follow speed limits while operating the forklift according to zone requirements.
Notify maintenance of forklifts requiring repair, following lock-out tag-out procedures.
Operate forklift to move and stack/unstack products as required in a safe and efficient manner.
Unload and load trucks as required to maintain clear dock and keep pace with ship/receive schedule appointment times.
Assist in hand unload of floor-loaded trucks and containers.
Assist in down-stacking fruit to temper ahead of production.
Work with Warehouse Lead to pick orders to meet shipments and plan for receiving of inbound materials to process in accordance with dock schedule and ERP system.
Prepare all shipments upon receipt of orders from Warehouse Lead and apply dunnage and blocking materials as required to assure integrity of load..
Accurately use Floor application on hand held scanner to pick orders, move pallets and split pallets.
Receive purchase orders, containerize and put away.
Transport products between dock and warehouse, freezer, thaw area, production, cooler or blast cells as necessary.
Clean and charge lift at the end of every shift.
Keep work area clean, following 6S standards.
Have working knowledge of business math and English.
Carry out proficient and accurate transactions in Floor on hand held scanners.
Perform other tasks at the direction of the Warehouse Lead(s) and Supervisor.
Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

Requirements:

Must be forklift Certified

Education and/or Experience

1 year forklift and/or warehouse experience is preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to communicate effectively in English to follow safety instructions, complete required documentation, and interact with supervisors and team members as needed for job duties.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to perform basic business math calculations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situation where only limited standardization exists; to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

This position requires forklift training and certification.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and work in high, precarious places. The employee may also be exposed to freezer temperature of zero degrees Fahrenheit. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
