We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Server to join our team in a fast-paced breakfast diner environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.

Duties

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Take accurate food and drink orders using the OpenTable system. Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring quality standards are met. Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods. Upsell additional items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Handle cash register transactions accurately and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of tables, utensils, and dining areas throughout the shift. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders. Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations at all times. Assist with food preparation as needed during busy periods.

Skills

Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive dining experience for guests. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Familiarity with cash register operations and basic math skills for handling payments. Experience in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Ability to upsell menu items effectively to maximize sales opportunities. Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and multitasking in a busy environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.15 per hour
