Job Description

This is a full-time, onsite, hourly/non-exempt position.


Maintenance Planner and Scheduler is responsible for the planning and scheduling process for all Preventative Maintenance (PM), Planned and Unplanned maintenance work. This individual will be required to have extensive knowledge and understanding of all machines and equipment functionalities throughout the organization to coordinate and support the Maintenance Team in preventative, planned and unplanned assignments.

High school education required or an equivalent of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired. 3 years minimum prior work experience or formal education in an industrial environment to include the following: + Extensive electrical experience includes 460 Volt circuits, Control Voltage circuits, low voltage computer circuits AC or DC required. Candidates will be required to furnish proof of formal education or comparable work experience.
+ Good working knowledge of:
- Hydraulic and pneumatic operations and repair
- Lathes, milling machines, drill presses, variety of band saws and surface grinder.
- Plumbing as it pertains to installation or repair.
+ Strong carpentry skills
+ Arc, Mig/Tig welding, brazing, and soldering.


Your job functions include:



Planning and scheduling of PM and Planned Work (PW) within established guidelines which include: + Communicate with Value Stream Managers, Team Leaders and Leads to verify work requests. Expected to participate and lead scheduling meetings.
+ Kit supplies and launch work orders when appropriate.
+ Estimate and schedule labor for all Work orders and dispatches.
+ Visiting the job sites to ensure the jobs have been completed and meets the satisfaction of the requestor and/or Manager.
Be able to maintain, schedule and update all PW and PM processes in the dispatch system. Add, edit, or delete equipment in the dispatch system. Process related accounting documents as needed. Report outcomes, including completion percentage, downtime, and other relevant data. Must have the knowledge and the ability to monitor, diagnose, prioritize, and execute work orders and dispatches for facilities as well as machinery and equipment located in manufacturing, maintenance, warehouse, and lab. General upkeep and repair throughout the facility which may require light carpentry, plumbing and electrical knowledge. Knowledge to assist in diagnosis and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and electrical problems within machinery and equipment through the facility. Identify sources for parts or material through the supply chain and complete purchase requisitions. Assists in the Tool Crib as needed. Establish proper inventory levels for MRO items. Work with suppliers engaged in Vendor Managed Inventory systems. Must have the ability to work with the Maintenance Team to establish and optimize preventative and predictive maintenance procedures and schedules. Will oversee the Waste Stream Process (RCRA and DOT) in collaboration with the EH&S team.

This position is for a First (1st) shift, working Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
