The Vice President, AWS LATAM Commercial Sales will be responsible for defining and executing a best-in-class global commercial sales strategy for AWS in LATAM. We are seeking an accomplished global sales leader to own the development, execution, measurement and reporting of a best-in-class sales strategy that will drive customer acquisition and usage of AWS\' broad portfolio of products and services. This leader should have a track record of building high-performing teams that are data-driven, results oriented, relentlessly focused on the customer, and that work to quickly identify and iterate on sales strategies. This leader should be passionate about building compelling sales solutions that work backwards from customer needs, with the goal of accelerating sustained adoption of our product suite across a diverse set of customers and industries.

This is a highly cross-functional role that requires close partnership across Product Management, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, PR, Legal, and Training teams, and requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written. This role requires an analytical sales leader and a compelling story-teller with an innate ability to align AWS\' solutions to our customers\' needs. As an owner, you will not only define the AWS LATAM sales strategy, you will build and shape a high performing, multi-discipline sales team.

Key job responsibilities

  • Management responsibility for a large cross-functional team of sales, sales engineering, channel development, evangelism, etc.,
  • Build and maintain strong relationships at the CxO level
  • Develop and scale a strong, fully operational partner eco-system
  • Be a true builder that can recognize signals as we move down the adoption curve, and, in turn, adjust our strategies to meet our customer\'s needs at scale.
  • Drive customer acquisition and retention
  • Establish highly repeatable (and scalable) sales processes, automation and reporting methodology that can be implemented across regions and business units globally.
  • Support and optimize the go-to-market strategy.
  • Help recruit, inspire, lead, mentor, and motivate the marketing organization to capitalize on the market opportunity for AWS.
  • Maintain a culture of customer obsession.
  • Expect travel, 60-70%.
  • This position will be based out of Latin America (Sao Paulo, Mexico City) preferred; or Miami, Fl.

  • Results and Operational Orientation: Has a proven track record of consistently delivering on revenue growth while growing the business and implementing strategic initiatives. Demonstrates a commitment to instilling these values through the organization and holds a desire to increase marketing productivity and deliver on increasingly valuable business outcomes.
  • Commercial Orientation: A highly team-orientated and low ego leader with the ability to easily work across functions as \'one team.\' Strong communicator ensuring employees are inspired, committed and engaged.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to raise the performance of their organization globally and is ready to \'roll up their sleeves\' when solving a problem. Act as a mentor and serve as an attractor for new talent.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese and English required.
