We're looking for a detail-oriented

Startup Strategic Project Specialist

to help bring high-impact ideas to life. This volunteer role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning concepts into organized plans, pitch decks, and actionable projects, as well as someone who is consistently on top of each series of steps for multiple projects.

You'll work directly with the Founder/CEO on key strategic initiatives -- helping to shape business plans, investor decks, operational roadmaps, and project timelines that support the growth of a mission-driven startup at the intersection of

What You'll Do

Collaborate with leadership to draft and refine pitch decks, business plans, project summaries, and project timelines for strategic and funding purposes. Support project management by building timelines, tracking milestones, and organizing team deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives. Coordinate communications, progress reports, and workflow alignment between departments to ensure consistent progress and accountability. Develop clear project documentation, outline dependencies, and anticipate potential roadblocks before they occur, identifying agile solutions and contingency paths. Research and synthesize data on markets, competitors, and related strategic opportunities. Help translate big ideas into structured plans, actionable goals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and professional presentation materials. Maintain project documentation, version control, and file organization for internal and investor use. Participate in strategic planning sessions and contribute innovative solution-oriented ideas.

What We're Looking For

Proven competence turning concepts into organized plans, pitch decks, and other business documents. Consistent history of staying on top of project management and juggling multiple projects at one time. Strong business administration, writing, organization, and storytelling ability. Proven ability to write professional proposals, applications, business plans and business descriptions for a variety of business uses. Familiarity with Microsoft, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva tools.

Strong understanding plus experience in business planning, business writing, and startup operations.

Extensive project management experience, including planning, delegation, progress tracking, and ensuring deliverables meet quality and timeline goals. Strategic thinker with excellent attention to detail. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong research skills and resourcefulness. Some understanding of financial modeling, spreadsheets, and basic business accounting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines for many projects simultaneously. Self-starter with a high degree of integrity and follow-through. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a strong understanding of startup infrastructure, organizational systems, and business operations.

Technology for This Role

Microsoft Word and Excel (advanced functions and formatting, using your own account) Google Docs, Google Sheets (need Google email address to use company account) Canva or similar design tools (for pitch decks)

Compensation

This is a 100% volunteer position right now. This is a builder's role in the startup realm. For a great fit, reaching funding milestones could potentially unlock structured equity upsides in the future, but this is not a job offer or a promise of future rewards. Right now, it is a volunteer role that, if a few things fall into place, could lead to more, for the right people who: fit the mission, work ethics, and culture well, and bring skills to this collaboration.
