We provide public safety, public works, community and economic development, parks & recreation, and many other important public services to a growing community.

The Position

The City of Maple Grove is seeking Fire Corps volunteers! Fire Corps volunteers are required to attend monthly meetings and agree to volunteer at least 8 additional hours per month to help with their desired task. Additionally, they will be assigned to various working groups being tasked with items such as; community outreach, public education, training, scene response support, chaplaincy, data entry, community outreach, special event support, etc.

Knowledge of:

Qualifications

MINNIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

18 years or older. Have a connection to Maple Grove either by residence, occupation, or service work. Have a clean criminal history and satisfactory driving record (confirmed by a background check).

DESIERABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Any experience suitable to supporting the role of the MGFD Fire Corps Program Public safety experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

Environmental Conditions:


Field and office environment; emergency firefighting scenes; travel from site to site; work closely with others.


Physical Conditions:


Essential and other important responsibilities and duties require maintaining the physical condition necessary for standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time; manual dexterity; adequate hearing, vision, and speech; required to operate assigned vehicle in routine driving scenarios.
