Job Summary

Unified East is seeking a passionate and dedicated Volleyball Coach to lead our program in skill development, teamwork building, and fostering a genuine love for the sport. The ideal candidate will have coaching experience or a background in physical education, along with a strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals. This role involves working closely with athletes of varying skill levels to enhance their performance, game knowledge, and overall athletic growth.

Duties

Design and implement comprehensive training programs that emphasize skill progression, teamwork, sportsmanship, and game IQ. Lead regular practices, drills, and conditioning sessions focused on improving individual and team performance. Teach athletes volleyball strategies, rules, and techniques to deepen their understanding of the game. Continuously monitor and evaluate player progress, offering constructive feedback to support skill improvement and confidence. Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and motivated team culture that encourages discipline and collaboration. Collaborate with coaching staff and organizational leadership to plan and manage competitions, tournaments, and special events. Maintain effective behavior management during practices and games to ensure a safe and focused environment. Communicate regularly with athletes' families to share updates on progress, goals, and any concerns.
Qualifications

Prior experience coaching volleyball or teaching physical education preferred. Strong behavior management skills to handle diverse situations during training and competition. Knowledge of health, fitness, and conditioning principles applicable to volleyball performance. Experience working in health clubs, gyms, or fitness environments is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with athletes, parents, and staff.
