supports the daily operations of the vocational electives program through leadership, mentorship, and direct service delivery. This position assists the Vocational Supervisor in ensuring program effectiveness, supporting staff performance, and enhancing member engagement. Acting as a senior peer support specialist and facilitator, the Team Lead provides mentorship to Vocational Electives Specialists while maintaining active participation in member-focused services. This role plays a critical part in aligning vocational programming with New Freedom's mission of transformation, recovery, and community reintegration.
Your Impact Will Include:
Provide daily guidance, mentorship, and support to Vocational Electives Specialists while serving as liaison between staff and the Vocational Supervisor.
Assist with onboarding, training, and professional development for new team members.
Facilitate vocational elective groups across disciplines and ensure consistent member engagement and quality programming.
Support curriculum implementation, scheduling, and member enrollment aligned with individualized vocational goals.
Maintain effective communication with community employers, instructors, and internal departments to promote member success.
Monitor operations and act as lead in the Vocational Supervisor's absence to ensure program continuity.
Ensure accurate documentation, data entry, and progress tracking while contributing feedback for staff evaluations and planning.
Foster a culture of recovery, professionalism, and ethical practice through supervision, continuing education, and adherence to certification requirements.
Performing additional duties as assigned to support our mission.
Where You'll Work
Primarily onsite at our offices
Requires occasional travel to program sites/facilities
Requires driving and operation of a motor vehicle, as needed
Requires satisfactory visual and auditory abilities to safely operate vehicles and communicate effectively
Requires use of standard office equipment including but not limited to computer-use, monitors/screen, desk, chair, etc.

Experience
RequiredBehavioral Health Paraprofessional designation required (0-2 years behavioral health work experience without higher education, such as Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in relevant course of study)
Minimum one (1) year Peer Support Specialist experience
Must be 21 years or older
