About the Role

We are seeking a Vlocity Technical Architect with deep expertise in Salesforce Industries (SFI) to support large-scale digital transformation initiatives for Our Direct Client , a leading retail electricity provider. The ideal candidate will architect scalable Vlocity solutions, optimize customer/utility workflows, and help modernize customer engagement and operational platforms.

This role requires strong hands-on architectural leadership, deep domain alignment with Energy & Utilities, and experience working in hybrid onshore/offshore delivery models.

Required Skills & Qualifications

7+ years of Salesforce experience, with 4+ years in Salesforce Industries (Vlocity). Strong hands-on experience with: OmniStudio (OmniScript, IP, DataRaptor, FlexCards) Vlocity EPC Vlocity CPQ Experience designing solutions for Energy & Utilities or retail energy customers (preferred). Expertise in Salesforce architecture, Apex, LWC, integrations (REST/SOAP), and data modeling. Strong understanding of metering, billing, energy products, rate plans, customer lifecycle, or retail electric market workflows. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Architecture & Solution Design Design end-to-end Salesforce Industries/Vlocity architecture, including data models, integration patterns, and omnichannel customer experiences. Build scalable solutions using OmniScript, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, FlexCards, EPC (Enterprise Product Catalog), and CPQ. Define technical roadmaps aligned with Our Direct Client 's business goals across retail energy, customer onboarding, billing, and service operations.

Energy & Utilities Alignment

Architect solutions for processes like customer acquisition, service enrolment, contract management, usage data workflows, product configuration, rate plans, and billing interactions. Optimize customer engagement journeys specific to retail electricity markets.

Implementation & Delivery

Lead technical governance, code reviews, and best practices in a hybrid onsite/offshore environment. Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Energy Operations teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. Ensure the architecture adheres to performance, security, compliance, and data integrity standards.

Integration Expertise

Work with integration teams to architect APIs and data flows between Salesforce Industries and systems such as: CIS / Billing systems Energy usage data platforms CRM and customer engagement tools Payment gateways and marketing automation systems

Leadership & Collaboration

Provide technical leadership to developers, administrators, and cross-functional teams. Conduct impact analysis, troubleshoot complex issues, and recommend platform improvements. Champion Vlocity/SFI best practices across the organization.
Pay: $55.00 - $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
