Working with young children, parents and their caregivers . This position could include weekends, with occasional evenings for special events. Monday through Saturday schedules are 8:45am-5:15pm, Sundays 12:45pm-5:15pm. Applicants with supervisory and educational skills encouraged to apply and may be hired at a higher rate.

The

Visitor Services Assistant

supports the Children's Museum of Idaho's non-profit mission by providing exceptional customer service that ensures all visitors, children, clients, and CMI members have a pleasurable and memorable experience. The Visitor Services Assistant enhances the museum experience by helping visitors and children to engage in exhibits This position works during public hours and occasional afterhours events.

This position spends a large amount of their shift walking, bending, cleaning toys and organizing. Assists with setting up and cleaning up Birthday Parties.

Most important is dependability and must LOVE children!

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides exceptional customer service in face-to-face and phone contact with museum visitors Willing to engage with children and parents Front desk cashier and selling memberships and gift shop items Cash handling experience required Cleans and organizes ongoing exhibit areas Assists in opening and closing the museum, including outdoor areas Maintains a solid attendance record and adheres to policies at all times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week
