This position is responsible for completing receptionist, administrative, and referral coordination tasks for the practice. The Front Desk Staff will strive to connect empathically with clients and practice team members.
This job allows for a very flexible schedule. It also provides an opportunity for experience in the mental health field, engaging with clients in a non-clinical capacity, and building relationships with mental health providers.

Position Schedule
This position has tasks that must be completed at the beginning (the 8 or 9 AM hours) and end (the 5 or 6 PM hours) of the business day. Additionally, intermittent work during the workday or being on-call during the work day between 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday to answer calls and return client contacts. Other duties including running practice statistics are able to be scheduled reasonably flexibly. Total paid time per week will generally be 5-7 hours with this potentially increasing.

General

Public Interaction
Manage inquiries for counseling (answer phone and email, schedule consultation appointments with appropriate therapist, answer practice-related questions)
Follow up with previous inquiries by phone, email, and text
Develop a rapport with potential clients in order to facilitate the scheduling process
Promote the practice through providing excellent customer service to all inquiries, referral sources, and collateral professionals
Team Interaction
Coordinate with clinicians on filling their schedules
Assist on improving the consultation process
Provide feedback to clinicians and clinical director on best practices for improving scheduling process
Communicate with therapists/team about pertinent administrative issues and changes
Maintain daily open and proactive communication with other members of the team and practice owners.
Administrative
Track incoming referrals and new clients through the onboarding process
Compile monthly contact, inquiry, and onboarding statistics for review with practice owners
Complete other administrative tasks and related work as assigned
Track hours accurately through our payroll system

Education & Experience
High School Diploma
Current Bachelors or Graduate student in psychology, social work, or other mental health adjacent field (preferred)* Previous administrative, front desk, or receptionist work (preferred)* Familiarity and/or experience with mental health and counseling profession (preferred)* Previous peer support, crisis support, hotline work (preferred)* Previous work engaging effectively with people in highly stressed states (preferred)*
Compensation
Pay for time worked is $20 per hour, paid monthly.
This position is a part time, hourly position that is paid for time worked. During the workday, on-call time is generally unrestricted (unpaid) during most business hours with dedicated, clocked-in time at the beginning and end of the day.
