The Village of Lake in the Hills Finance Department welcomes applications for the position of Assistant Finance Director.
This position reports to the Finance Director. Key responsibilities will include managing the annual audit process, financial forecasting, budget development and monitoring, central financial accounting and reporting, and administration of the Village's financial system (New World Systems). In addition, the Assistant Finance Director will be responsible for the administrative oversight, leadership, planning, coordinating and management of the accounts payable and payroll functions.
Who Should Apply: The Assistant Finance Director will be a supporting member of the Village management team and should have expertise in finance, preferably within a government agency. Candidates with experience managing a team coupled with strong project management capabilities will be best suited for this role. Leadership qualities should include open communication, collaboration, and an independent drive that inspires new perspectives.
