About the Internship

OLI Outdoor Services is offering a hands-on

Video Editor Internship

for students who want real-world experience in video production, social media content creation, and professional editing workflows. This is an excellent opportunity for current college students who need internship credit and want to build their portfolio while working with a fast-growing, creative brand.

This is primarily a

remote position

, giving you the freedom to edit from home. Interns will need to come into our

Godfrey office

periodically to

pick up footage or project files

as needed. You'll work directly with OLI's Marketing Director and Media Director to learn modern editing workflows used in professional social media and marketing content.

What You'll Learn & Work On

As a Video Editor Intern, you'll gain experience editing a variety of real client and brand content, including:

Short-form videos

(TikToks, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels)

Long-form videos

(interviews, project showcases, testimonials)

Cinematic edits

with high-quality footage

Behind-the-scenes and on-site action content

Educational and training videos

Fun, viral-style brand content

You'll have access to footage from Sony cinema cameras, GoPros, drones, and iPhones.

Responsibilities

Edit short and long-form videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar software (whichever software you are comfortable with) Pick up raw footage from our

Godfrey, IL office

as needed Organize project files and maintain clean workflows Apply brand colors, fonts, captions, and stylistic elements Meet project deadlines Communicate with our Marketing Director for revisions & direction Provide creative input on video concepts Maintain professionalism and attention to detail

What We're Looking For

Current student at

SIUE

or

Lewis & Clark Community College or nearby College

Passionate about video editing and digital storytelling Basic experience with editing software (Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, etc.) Ability to work independently and remotely Strong communication and reliability Transportation to pick up footage in Godfrey, IL Organized and detail-oriented
