Duties
Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support to victims of violence, abuse, or trauma, ensuring they feel heard, safe, and supported.
Assist clients in understanding their rights and options within family law, child welfare, and other legal systems.
Coordinate with social service agencies, healthcare providers, law enforcement, and legal professionals to connect victims with appropriate resources such as counseling, shelter, legal aid, and childcare services.
Conduct needs assessments to identify individual circumstances and develop personalized safety plans.
Document all client interactions accurately while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy regulations.
Facilitate conflict management strategies during high-stress situations involving families or individuals.
Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, crisis management, child protection, and trauma-informed care to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
Excellent communication skills--empathetic listening combined with clear guidance--are essential for building trust with clients.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, patience, and cultural competence.
Experience working with diverse populations affected by trauma or violence is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Relevant educational background in social work, psychology, behavioral health, or a related discipline is preferred; certifications in crisis intervention or conflict resolution are a plus.
