The Position
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this integral team member will be responsible for leading the internal IT team with emphasis on providing the highest level of support to our hospitals. They will work directly with external IT vendors to collaborate best possible solutions for our 200+ locations, while holding vendors accountable to operational agreements. The VP of IT will need to align hands-on approach to meet organizational goals and cross-collaborate with multiple departments. This person will be expected to guide, develop, and mentor a team of direct reports.
Specific Responsibilities
Identify short- and long-term IT needs, and develops strategies to ensure infrastructure adequately supports the company's computing, and communications needs.
Establishes the strategic drive of the organization's IT department and collaborates with the executive team to execute on this strategy in support of business and financial goals.
Advance IT service through continuous improvement including the upgrade and consolidation of legacy systems. This includes cloud service migrations and AI integration across multiple software platforms.
Lead team of direct reports, focusing on providing highest level of support to our hospitals.
Serve as lead Administrator for organizational software tools and communication platforms.
Works directly with internal Legal Team to develop IT policies and governance.
Cross-collaborate with multiple department leads to align IT budget to organizational financial goals, assisting with forecasting short and long term needs.
Work hands-on in multiple software and hardware vendor platforms and be willing to adapt technical skills to meet the needs of our hospitals.
Acts as top-level contact for all IT invoicing.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in IT Management, Computer Science, or related Technology discipline
7+ years of experience managing an IT department, with foundational experience as a Systems Administrator
Extensive experience in Microsoft O365 multi-tenant environments, with emphasis on Entra integrations and conditional access security configurations
Microsoft or CompTia certifications preferred
Zendesk Administrative experience preferred
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in fast-paced environment
Ability to work under minimal supervision
