:
The Idaho Hospital Association (IHA) is looking for a Vice President of Finance. This position is part of the Association's Executive Team and reports directly to the Association President. This position is responsible for development of the Association's position on issues involving the financing of health care services and will be involved in developing issue briefs, white papers, and talking points on financial policy issues. The VP of Finance will play a pivotal role in guiding the state and IHA members through the transition to comprehensive Medicaid managed care. This person will also assist rural hospitals in securing funds and implementing program goals of the Rural Health Transformation Program. This person also serves as the Executive Director of Idaho Healthcare Business Ventures, a wholly owned subsidiary of IHA designed to promote products and services that benefit IHA members. This position oversees the duties of the Controller and the Director of Quality Improvement.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
:
o Hospital or Healthcare Financial Management: 5 years (Required)
o State Budgeting and Policy Development: 5 years (Preferred)
o Investment Portfolio Management: 5 years (Preferred)
o Knowledge of the legislative, budgeting and administrative rulemaking processes.
o Proficient skills in Word and Excel.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills.
o Strong public speaking skills.
o Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
o Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
o Driver's license required and must be willing to travel.

Job Type:
Full-time. This is a salaried position that may require 40+ hrs/wk. Some travel is required.
Work Location
: In-person, office in Boise, ID. Periodic travel to Idaho hospitals and conferences.
