We are seeking

a

Vice President of Emerging Technologies

to spearhead enterprise-wide innovation initiatives, fostering collaboration across business units to drive strategic growth, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen competitive advantage. This executive role is responsible for shaping and executing innovation strategies, managing a diverse portfolio of projects, and embedding a culture of creativity and transformation throughout the organization. Success in this position requires a unique combination of strategic foresight, technical expertise, influential leadership, and exceptional stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities



Develop and maintain a scalable innovation model for the enterprise to facilitate growth, eliminate unproductive processes, and manage the risks associated with interruptive technologies. Align innovation initiatives with business strategies and compliance requirements. Lead continuous improvement and technology modernization efforts. Serve as executive sponsor for key innovation programs, ensuring stakeholder engagement and adoption. Conduct regular reviews and strategic planning sessions with business unit leaders. Translate business needs into actionable innovation roadmaps. Oversee the innovation pipeline from ideation through implementation and scaling. Manage escalations and ensure resolution of complex innovation challenges. Implement industry-standard innovation management practices and automation strategies to improve efficiency and impact. Build and mentor high-performing innovation teams. Foster a culture of accountability, creativity, and cross-functional collaboration. Lead workforce planning, training, and succession strategies for talent. Ensure all initiatives meet regulatory, security, and data privacy standards. Lead change management and communication efforts to support adoption and integration of innovations. Conduct ongoing research to identify emerging technologies, trends, and co-innovation opportunities with external partners. Analyze and present cost/benefit proposals for innovation investments to meet business requirements. Serve as a member of the Information Technology Senior Leadership Team. Perform other related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or related field is required, master's preferred. 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate innovation, strategy, or transformation role required. Certifications in innovation management, project management (e.g., PMP), or related fields preferred. Strong understanding of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, automation, digital platforms) and process improvement methodologies. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and a variety of web-based software applications. Familiarity with GIS, CAD, and Field Data Collection technologies. Proven experience managing diverse teams of both technical and business personnel. Proven experience managing innovation portfolios and cross-functional teams. Experience with open innovation, co-innovation partnerships, and external collaboration preferred. Familiarity with technologies used in telecommunications, IT service delivery, and power industries preferred. Experience with business/financial concepts such as ROI, budgeting, and investment analysis. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. Proficiency with innovation management platforms and tools. Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to maintain regular communication with top management and stakeholders. Embraces corporate values, understands the company's mission, and exemplifies leadership behaviors.

Shift

is flexible, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST but must be able to work outside normal business hours when required.

Additional Information



Up to 5% travel nationwide. Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Compensation: base salary range 180k-200k plus incentives.
