The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory at North Dakota State University invites applications for a non-tenure track position in veterinary toxicology. Primary responsibilities are diagnostic service, consultation with laboratory clientele, and supervision as section head of toxicology. Depending on the interest of the toxicologist, opportunities for teaching, interaction with NDSU faculty and other scientists, and collaborative research exist.
Work Schedule:
M-F 8am-5pm
Hiring Range:
Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.
Minimum Qualifications:
DVM degree or PhD in a related field
Post-graduate training or experience in toxicology
Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
DVM or PhD in analytical chemistry
Experience in veterinary practice and veterinary diagnostics
DABVT or DABT certification, eligibility or partial completion of boards
Graduate of AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine or equivalence certification
Personnel management experience
Experience with liquid and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry and ICP-mass spectrometry
Experience with quality assurance system
Interest in training residents
