Do you like weekends off?! We are a fast paced animal hospital looking to hire a registered veterinary technician or very skilled assistant. The hospital is open Monday through Friday and closed on weekends! Our technicians must be available for patient care only one weekend per month. Some job duties may include nail trims, anal gland expressions, injection administration, blood draw, radiographs, catheter placement, and general patient care. Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Take and develop X-rays of animals
- Conduct basic laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood tests
- Provide assistance with pet grooming, including bathing and nail trimming

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in veterinary technology preferred
- Certification as a veterinary technician (CVT) or veterinary assistant (VA) is a plus
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is highly desirable
- Knowledge of animal behavior, anatomy, and common diseases
- Proficiency in handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
