Vet for Pet Animal Hospital in East Hartford continues to grow and is looking for more great people to join us!

Existing Veterinary Technician/Assistant experience is great, but, more importantly, we are looking for candidates with a positive attitude, drama-free personality, the desire to learn and grow as the hospital continues on its growth path, and a calm energy for animal/client/co-worker interactions. Currently the position is for our East Hartford location, but we will also be opening a new location in Hamden at the beginning of the year.

The Veterinary Technician/Assistant position goes beyond the typical Technician/Assistant duties. Typical duties include animal restraint, venipuncture, catheter placement, performing diagnostics, surgical assisting, etc. To round out our customer/patient experience, all Vet for Pet employees are required to learn our front end processes to provide the best care to both the client and patient, at any time of day or night, as possible! We work as a team and no task is below anyone. Punctuality and reliability are non-negotiable!

Our current hospital hours are as follows:

Monday through Thursday, 10:00 am to 10:00 pm; Friday 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Please note that the hospital is staffed beyond our open hours (work schedules start at 9:00 am and the closing shift can go to midnight).

Open availability is a plus and pay rate is commensurate with experience.
