Job Description

Lake Dow Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team! We are a small animal 3 doctor practice located in suburban McDonough, GA. Our practice is open Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm and Saturday 8:30am to 12:00pm. No overnights or major holidays. Our Full Time position is 4 days a week and rotating Saturdays.

Responsibilities Include:

Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and procedures Perform routine laboratory tests (blood work, urinalysis, etc.) and take radiographs Administer medications and vaccinations as directed Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health Educate pet owners on proper care and nutrition Maintain accurate medical records and patient files Manage inventory and equipment maintenance Provide compassionate care to animals and their owners
Qualifications for Position:

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or equivalent

preferred

3+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant is

required

Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle animals safely and effectively Must be able to lift and restrain both dogs and cats of all sizes

Salary range depends on experience level.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
