Veterinary Technician
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with animal examinations and procedures
- Prepare and restrain animals for examinations and treatments
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by veterinarians
- Clean and maintain examination rooms and equipment
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals in the clinic
- Learn new skills to advance career
-Assist with anesthesia monitoring
-Assist with general surgery and dentistry
Experience:
- CVT preferred, or currently enrolled
- Knowledge of animal care and handling techniques
- Familiarity with common veterinary medications and procedures
- Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
