High volume community clinic geared to helping homeless animals and indigent pets. Our goal is help animals stay in their home instead of being surrendered to an animal shelter because the owner can't afford medical care. We are seeking skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technicians to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. We are looking for a person who gives extra compassion and kindness to the ones without a voice. ```Duties```
- Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures and examinations
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Perform laboratory tests such as bloodwork and urinalysis
- Take x-rays
- Provide animal restraint during examinations and procedures
- Perform animal catheterization
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration

```Skills```
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology
- Excellent animal care skills
- Proficiency in pet care techniques
- Experience with equine care is a plus
- Ability to work effectively as a veterinary technician
- Skilled in animal restraint techniques
- Knowledge of animal catheterization procedures
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment
- Understanding of aseptic technique in veterinary settings
- Solid understanding of animal physiology
