Job Summary

The Cat Hospital of Tampa Bay's 10th Life Mobile Veterinarian

is a full-service, feline-exclusive mobile veterinary practice. We operate by appointment only and travel around the greater St. Petersburg area to client's homes; most services are performed inside our fully equipped mobile unit.

We are seeking an experienced veterinary technician or highly qualified assistant to join our team!

Responsibilities and Duties

Assist the veterinarian with patient care and handling Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters (experience required) Monitor anesthesia, assist with radiographs and dental radiographs Draw up and prepare medications Create estimates, process charges, check out clients, and clearly explain prescriptions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions Manage inventory and order medications and supplies Help maintain cleanliness and smooth operation of the mobile unit

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum of 2 years experience as a Veterinary Technician or licensed/certified (LVT/CVT) Experienced Veterinary Assistants with relevant skills will be considered Experience in dentistry, surgical prep and monitoring, digital and dental radiology required Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record Must be a team player who thrives in a small, close-knit practice Passion for feline health and welfare is essential

Benefits

Competitive hourly pay based on experience, with the potential for salaried position in the future Flexible schedule - typically four days per week, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (dependent on appointments and/or emergencies) Full and part-time benefits offered
