Job Description

Our growing animal hospital needs an experienced veterinary assistant to join our team! We run a fast-paced clinic that sees patients on regular daytime hours as well as extended weekend hours. The ideal candidate will be willing to work around the hospital schedule which does include some evenings and weekends. We are looking for someone who is familiar with working in a small animal practice and that is reliable and goal oriented.

Primary Responsibilities include:

*Provide assistance to the Technician and Veterinarian

*Draw blood sample for different lab test.

*Take pets' weight and other vital signs upon arrival for physical examination

*Patient Restraint, give s/q fluid, place i/v catheters.

Monitor anesthesia for surgery pets.
*Feed, Bathe, and care for patients that are hospitalized and or boarding in our facility

*Clean and maintain the hospital

*Prepare instruments and medications as directed

*Adhere to hospitals safety and wellness regulations

*Educate clients about our services and procedures as well as preventative care

Educate clients for post operative care.
1-2 year experience is preferred.

Pay: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour
