About the Position

We're looking for a

Veterinary Referral Coordinator

to help support seamless communication between Sunstone, pet owners, and referring veterinarians. This role is essential in ensuring continuity of care and a smooth experience for clients and RDVM partners. You'll be a trusted guide, a skilled communicator, and a calm, steady presence for clients, patients, and colleagues.

This is a

swing-shift position

that requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to remain poised and empathetic - even during busy or stressful moments.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for referring veterinarians and clients Communicate professionally in person and via phone, email, and fax Schedule specialty appointments and manage follow-up communications Organize medical records, prescription refills, and client updates Provide empathetic and informative support to clients, even in stressful situations Collaborate with medical and client service teams to ensure seamless care Occasionally assist with patient handling and basic veterinary assistant tasks, as needed

What We're Looking For

2+ years of customer service experience (required) 1+ year of experience in veterinary or medical reception (preferred) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Comfort with multi-line phone systems, computers, and scheduling software Ability to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced setting Flexibility to work swing shifts, weekends, and holidays High school diploma or equivalent (required) Must be able to pass a background check

Pay: $22.00 - $24.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
