We are seeking a dedicated and personable Veterinary Receptionist to join our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for animal care, and the ability to manage front-office operations efficiently. As the first point of contact for clients and their pets, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment while supporting the clinical team with administrative and client-relations tasks. Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets warmly, establishing a positive first impression and ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and coordinate with veterinary staff to optimize daily operations.
Handle medical billing and collections accurately, ensuring timely processing of payments and insurance claims.
Maintain organized reception areas, including filing, data entry, and updating client information in the database.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, upcoming appointments, and follow-up needs.
Assist with inventory management of office supplies, pet products, and medications as needed.
Support veterinary staff by managing phone inquiries, relaying messages, and facilitating laboratory or diagnostic requests when necessary.
Demonstrate knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures to assist clients confidently and professionally.
Requirements
Previous experience in veterinary reception or a related pet care environment is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal handling, and pet care practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations compassionately.
Proficiency in medical collection processes and familiarity with laboratory procedures is advantageous.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Knowledge of animal husbandry, animal restraint techniques, dog handling, pet grooming, and pet training is beneficial.
Experience with veterinary critical care procedures, animal catheterization, aseptic techniques, and laboratory work is a plus.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
