Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced veterinary environment. This role requires a strong understanding of veterinary terminology and animal care, as well as the ability to handle various administrative duties efficiently.

Duties

Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they enter the clinic. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar effectively. Process payments accurately. Assist veterinarians and technicians with animal handling, restraint, and care during examinations or procedures if needed. Provide information to clients regarding pet care, treatment options, and follow-up care instructions. Manage incoming calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and professionally. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the reception area and clinic environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred, with knowledge of veterinary terminology essential. Familiarity with medical collection processes is advantageous. Experience in animal husbandry, dog handling, animal restraint, and pet grooming is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service are essential for success in this position. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a busy environment.
