Veterinary Receptionist

Status:

Full-time

Salary:

$17 - $20 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, some Saturdays

We are adding a veterinarian in the new year, and we are looking to expand our support staff.
We are looking for a full-time veterinary receptionist to add to our fantastic front desk team. Hours will vary but will be posted 2 weeks in advance of the new month.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Warmly greeting clients Admitting and discharging of patients, including conveying postsurgical
instructions
Efficiently answering a multiple-line telephone system Scheduling appointments for routine care and surgical procedures Processing payments Preparation and explanation of prescribed medications Answering a variety of client questions Processing mail Cleaning/disinfecting of work area

Requirements:

Demonstrate compassion to pets and the owners who are attached to them Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in all aspects of office technology Ability to stay calm in tense or hectic times Able to juggle multiple tasks throughout the day Work effectively in a team environment Familiarity with veterinary terminology
