Job Description

Periwinkle Pet Clinic is a busy small animal veterinary clinic open 4 days per week, Tuesday through Friday. Working hours vary, between 8.5-10 per day, from 7:30am to 5:30-7pm. We perform routine surgeries daily, see appointments, and have the occasional emergency or hospitalized patient. There are 2 full-time doctors with 3 direct support staff.

Applicant must be self-motivated and have excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and be detail oriented. Reliability and the ability to multi-task efficiently are required. Veterinary reception experience preferred.

The receptionist acts as the clinic's primary greeter when a client enters the waiting room with their animal companions. Typical job duties entail:

Checking clients in/out in the lobby Processing payments and handling cash Answering phones and taking detailed messages Working with Cornerstone Software/computer skills Making professional medical notes and sending/faxing documents and records Stocking supplies (must be able to lift up to 50lbs) Being on your feet 8+ hours a day Cleaning duties in the lobby throughout the day and helping clean the clinic at the end of the shift.
We offer a 401K+match after 1 year and PTO is accrued with time worked. Maintaining a professional appearance is required and 4 uniforms will be supplied if desired. The position is currently open and training may be started immediately.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
