Pieper Veterinary is in search of Call Center Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing and providing direction for Call Center employees. This is an excellent role for someone in a veterinary medicine client service role looking to take the next step, or someone with a supervisory background in a high-volume, client service-based background.

Pieper Veterinary is a family of emergency, specialty, and primary care hospitals in Central and Southern Connecticut. Our mission is to provide exceptional medical care for pets while keeping care affordable for our clients. We are proud to be a VECCS level I certified and have a team of over 45 doctors and more than 350 support staff across our locations.

This role provides leadership for the client service team and ensures, on a day-to-day basis, that the team carries out Pieper Veterinary\'s promise: making patient health and client support our top priority and excellent service our goal.

The Call Center Supervisor is responsible for providing support across a wide array of functions including:

  • Understanding and providing direction on hospital policy
  • Scheduling all Call Center employees
  • Directing corrective phase training
  • Establishing department goals and providing direction, encouragement, support and feedback to team on reaching individual & department goals.
  • Training new team members
  • Ensures all Call Center tasks are performed including receiving & making calls, paging, faxing, printing, transcribing voicemails, sending emails, scheduling, confirmation calls/texting, cleaning, training, and other clerical duties.
  • Maintenance of veterinary medical records
  • Accounts maintenance
  • Email & voicemail processing
Key things to know:
  • 5 day work week, to include evenings and a weekend day.
  • This role is all on-site, no remote.
  • This role reports directly to the Client Care Manager.
  • The Call Center Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing the work of the entire Call Center staff, and will also intermittently assist with the client service functions of the front desk reception teams.
  • Frequently collaborates with other supervisors, managers and departments.
