Job Description
Small (but mighty!) clinic seeking Vet Assistant to add to our close team. Harvard Avenue Veterinary Hospital has provided over 35 years of care to small animals in its current location. Our trusted clinic provides a laid back environment that fosters close relationships between staff, our loyal clientele, and beloved patients.
Those who succeed in our work environment are reliable (very important!), able to communicate, multitask, and work well under pressure. Attitude and reliability are important attributes. Applicant should be able to lift 40lbs and be on your feet for 8 hours. Experience is preferred but not required.
We currently are closed on weekends and holidays. Benefits for full-time employees include employer paid health insurance, paid holidays, 401k matching, and paid vacation/sick leave.

Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians in examining and treating animals, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures. Handle and restrain animals for examinations, vaccinations, and other treatments. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including animal kennels and treatment areas. Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any concerns to the veterinary team. Administer medications and assist with laboratory tests as needed. Provide excellent customer service by educating pet owners on animal care and wellness.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
