We are a fast-paced low-cost clinic in need of hiring two veterinary assistants/technicians. Candidates must have the ability to work cooperatively with co-workers, demonstrate respect for all animals and humans, and be able to effectively multitask. We are looking for applicants that are dependable, hard-working, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.

Our clinic culture is typically more a laidback atmosphere where veterinarians, technicians and assistants all collectively work together for the greater care of animals. We value punctuality and deep compassion for animals. Our vision in founding this clinic was to provide needed care for all animals regardless of socioeconomic abilities. Therefore, we believe in providing care at a reasonable price-point so we can help more animals and clients.

Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9:30 to 6 PM. However, we do not leave the clinic until all clients and daily tasks have been completed (depending on time of year this could be 6:30 to 7:00 at night). We are closed on weekends.

One position we have available is a doctor assistant which involves the following responsibilities:

Restrain animals in the rooms for the doctor Fill prescriptions for appointments Communicating patient needs between doctors and technicians Clean exam rooms after appointments are completed Educate clients on the standard of care for general patient needs If available, help technicians with needed treatments
The other position available is considered our back/treatment assistant or technician.

Treatments include injections, ear treatments, SQ fluids, etc. Technical skills performed at our hospital include: IV catheter placement, blood draws, cystocentesis, radiographs, dentals, anesthesia monitoring, various treatments for animals that are hospitalized, etc. Experience with these tasks is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay per hour will be based on skills of the applicant.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
