We are currently hiring for:
- A Veterinary Assistant and/or Registered Veterinary Technician: Monday- Thursday between 7:30am-7:30 pm - exact hours will be determined based on candidate availability and hospital needs.

MONDAY- THURSDAY - NO WEEKENDS; NO HOLIDAYS; NO ON-CALL

The Veterinary Orthopedic Surgery Center is a privately & locally owned/operated orthopedic specialty practice located in Wentzville, Missouri. We are currently seeking a Veterinary Assistant and/or Registered Veterinary Technician to join our daytime surgical team. The ideal candidate is dedicated, engaged, dependable, and exhibits a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Primary Responsibilities May Include:

- Running basic laboratory tests/submission of outside tests
- Obtaining radiographs
- Preparing and maintaining surgical equipment and surgical suites
- Safely restrain and handle patients
- Maintenance of patient records/treatment sheet
- Pre/Postpoerative patient care including but not limited to: placement of IV catheters, administration of IV, IM, SQ and PO medications, IV fluid/CRI administration

Requirements/Qualifications:

Previous veterinary experience preferred Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance Practice OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE Strong communication skills
